KISS have announced a 50th anniversary box set edition of their 1976 album Rock and Roll Over, set for release November 6th.
The set, available for pre-order, includes a new set of mixes by original producer and engineer Eddie Kramer alongside a bevy of demos, live tracks, and collectibles.
Box Set Details
Rock and Roll Over will be available both as a 6LP + Blu-Ray Audio set as well as a 4CD + Blu-Ray audio edition. Both versions will contain a total of 130 tracks including 100 unreleased tracks and mixes, a remaster of the original 1976 mix and the new updated mix by Eddie Kramer. The set includes demos of the songs that would later be shaped into their album versions, an unreleased instrumental titled “Queen for a Day,” as well as selections from the four-night run in Budokan during KISS’ first Japanese tour.

The set will also contain a hardback book with over 100 pages filled with photographs, liner notes by KISS historian Ken Sharp, and new interviews with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss, and Eddie Kramer. The Blu-Ray will contain Dolby 5.1 and Atmos editions of both the 1976 and 2026 mixes of the album, plus hi-def stereo editions for both.
Other editions available in celebration of the 50th anniversary are a zoetrope LP, a color vinyl, a standalone release of the new Eddie Kramer mix on both LP and CD, as well as a bonus 7″ of “Mr. Speed” featuring an unheard instrumental version of the song on Side B to be released October 16th.
