Oso Oso, the project of New York singer-songwriter Jade Lilitri, has announced a new album, an exchange of information. He’s also shared the new song “know you know me better.” Serving as Oso Oso’s sixth album and his first since signing to Feral Twin — a new label started by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan — an exchange of information will be out everywhere on November 6th.
Album Details
The project, which is described in a press release as a “big sounding rock record,” was created in tandem with Quinlan’s label and serves as Feral Twin’s inaugural release. It follows his previous LP, 2024’s Life Till Bones. Pre-orders for an exchange of information are available now.
New Music and Tour
“You get to a point where you are on your sixth LP for a particular project and it’s almost like the previous releases themselves become an influence,” said Lilitri in a statement. “You know what the ‘band’ is about. You know where you’ve been, how you think it could be improved upon, but you also have to figure out where you wanna go that you haven’t been before. There was a lot of focus on that while writing these songs.”
Lead single “know you know me better” definitely bears some of the dynamic emo and pop-punk stylings from Oso Oso’s earlier releases, with a soaring chorus and lots of character and attitude from Lilitri behind the mic. The track’s syncopated guitars bring tension and release, and its whining lead line gives way to a no-holds-barred, anthemic refrain.
