Iron Maiden have announced two new special releases. One is a 50th anniversary color vinyl box set covering the bands albums from 1980 through 1992, and the other is a 40th anniversary color vinyl edition of their sixth studio album, Somewhere in Time.
Upcoming Releases
The box set will arrive on December 11th, while the Somewhere in Time reissue will be released on December 4th.
The box set, titled 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980 – 1992, consists of their first nine studio albums, the same run currently being celebrated on their ongoing “Run For Your Lives” tour.
Each of the nine included albums comes with their own special colored vinyl all packaged in a box with specially designed artwork and will feature the 2015 remasters. Amazon will also have a variant with a special anniversary poster.

The Somewhere in Time oxblood color vinyl will additionally be released on its own as part of the 40th anniversary celebration of that album. Amazon will once more have a special variant that includes a full sleeve poster.

Iron Maiden are currently on tour with their “Run For Your Lives” show celebrating their first nine studio albums with thrash veterans Megadeth and Anthrax as support.
