Folks, I’m sipping my coffee and reading about President Donald Trump’s latest venture, and I’ve got to say, it’s a real doozy. The company behind his meme coin is hosting another one of those fancy dinners, and this time, they’re calling it “the most exclusive dinner in the world.” I mean, who wouldn’t want to attend a dinner with President Trump, right? It’s not like it’s going to be a bunch of wealthy donors trying to curry favor or anything. The top 185 holders of the $TRUMP coin are invited to attend, and the top 29 will even get to go to a VIP reception with the President himself. And, of course, the top four will receive a lovely 18-karat Trump-branded gold watch, because what’s a dinner party without a little bit of swag?
The contest started on Wednesday and will run through November 12, so if you’re feeling lucky, you can try your hand at winning a spot at the dinner. But don’t get your hopes up, folks, because the site also says that “no attendees will be granted a private meet & greet with the President” and that “no gifts will be accepted.” I mean, come on, what’s the fun in that? The event is scheduled for November 22, so mark your calendars.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Big Elephant, this sounds like just another way for President Trump to make some cash off his presidency.” And you know what? You’re not wrong. Financial disclosures have shown that he’s made over a billion dollars from his crypto ventures, and that’s not even counting the thousands of stock trades he’s made, including in companies that are directly affected by his policies. The White House says he’s not involved in his investment accounts, but I’m not sure I buy that.
It’s not the first time President Trump has held one of these meme coin events, either. Back in May 2025, he hosted a black-tie dinner at his golf club outside Washington, DC, and the top 220 holders of the $TRUMP meme coin were invited. The top 25 investors even got to attend a small VIP reception with the President. I mean, it’s just another day in the life of President Trump, folks.
The companies behind the event, CIC Digital and Fight Fight Fight LLC, are affiliates of the Trump Organization, and they didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. But hey, who needs comments when you’ve got a fancy dinner to attend, right? The site for the event, GetTrumpMemes.co, even crashed early on Thursday afternoon, probably due to all the people trying to get in on the action.
President Trump has made a pretty penny from his crypto portfolio, which he launched shortly before retaking office in January 2025. Investors in those products, on the other hand, haven’t been so lucky. A report from the watchdog Public Citizen recently found that investors had racked up $4.7 billion in paper losses on Trump crypto assets managed by the president’s adult sons. Yikes, that’s a lot of money.
Memecoins are particularly risky investments, folks, because they have no intrinsic value and are prone to sudden collapses. The US Securities and Exchange Commission last year wrote that memecoins have a failure rate “exceeding 90% for new tokens.” But hey, who needs stability when you can invest in a coin with President Trump’s face on it, right? Trump launched his memecoin shortly before his inauguration in 2025, and its value initially surged to $70 but quickly fell. It currently trades around $2, so if you’re feeling lucky, you can try your hand at investing.
In conclusion, folks, it’s just another day in the wild world of President Trump’s business ventures. I mean, who needs ethics when you can make a quick buck, right? It’s all just a big game, and we’re all just pawns in the grand scheme of things. But hey, at least we can all have a good laugh about it, and that’s what I’m doing right now, sipping my coffee and shaking my head at the absurdity of it all. 🙄
