Nicolas Cage Punches Nazis and Steals the Show in the Most Epic Battle of Good vs Evil Ever aka Fortitude Trailer Starring Some Other People Too

trailer nic cage in fortitude

Oh boy, are you guys ready for the most epic, action-packed, and totally-not-made-up story of World War II? 🤣 I mean, who needs historical accuracy when you have Nicolas Cage as a spy-soldier, right? 😂 FORTITUDE is based on a “true story” (wink, wink) and follows the fearless and unpredictable Dudley Clarke (Ed Skrein) and Thomas Argyll “TAR” Robertson (Matthew Goode) as they devise the biggest deception mission ever mounted. I mean, it’s not like they’re just making this stuff up as they go along or anything 🙄.

So, apparently, these two super spies had the support of Winston Churchill (Michael Sheen), Ian Fleming (Art Malik), and an extraordinary network of double agents, including Dusko Popov (Nicolas Cage), the real-life spy who inspired the James Bond novels. Because, you know, James Bond is totally based on a real person and not just a fictional character created by Ian Fleming 🙃. And let’s not forget Juan Pujol (Jordi Mollà), a Spanish chicken farmer who’s also a master spy, because who doesn’t love a good chicken farmer-spy hybrid? 🐓🕵️‍♂️ And Nancy Armstrong (Alice Eve), a top British Intelligence agent, because women can be spies too, duh! 💁‍♀️

The film is directed by… wait, who’s the director again? 🤔 Oh yeah, doesn’t matter, because the real star of the show is Nicolas Cage, who’s probably going to steal the scene with his signature over-the-top acting 🎭. I mean, who needs subtle acting when you can just yell and wave your arms around like a lunatic? 🤣 The film also stars Matthew Goode, Ed Skrein, Jordi Mollà, Alice Eve, Art Malik, Lukas Haas, Adrian Topol, Emilio Sakraya, Maeve Courtier-Lilley, Paul Anderson, Ron Perlman, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Michael Sheen, because why not? 🤷‍♂️ It’s not like they’re trying to win an award for most actors in a single film or anything 🏆.

So, get ready for Operation FORTITUDE, the most epic deception mission in history, where a bunch of fake tanks, aircraft, and ships, along with some actors and false radio messages, fooled Hitler’s Nazi Army into thinking the Allies were invading somewhere else 🤣. I mean, it’s not like the Nazis were just really bad at their jobs or anything 🙄. And of course, this operation decisively changed the course of World War II and paved the way for a free world, because who needs actual historical events when you can just make stuff up? 🌎
