Waylon Reavis Finally Finds New Way To Repurpose Mushroomhead Riffs With AKC’s Victim 3

a killers confession

Oh boy, are you guys ready for some angsty alt-metal? 🤘 A KILLER’S CONFESSION, the band led by former MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Waylon Reavis, just dropped a new single called “Roses” and I’m just soooo excited 🙄. I mean, who doesn’t love a good song about feeling unappreciated and stuff? The song is part of their upcoming album “Victim 3”, which is set to be released on November 13 via MNRK Heavy. Because, you know, the world was just missing an album about a vigilante serial killer on death row 🤷‍♂️.

The song “Roses” is all about embracing the freedom of knowing your own reasons for doing things, even when nobody else cares 🤷‍♂️. Reavis explains: “‘Roses’ was written from a point of view of where everything that you have done was in vain. We’ve all been to that point of feeling unappreciated, but I feel like roses is a statement of it doesn’t matter what you do as long as you and only you know why you did it.” Wow, deep 🤓. I bet the existential crisis that inspired this song was just, like, so profound 🙄.

The “Victim 3” Album

The album “Victim 3” is the final part of a trilogy that started with “Victim 1” and “Victim 2” 📚. Because, you know, trilogies are always a great idea 🙄. The album follows the story of a vigilante serial killer who’s now on death row, and it’s just so… metal 🤘. The track listing includes songs like “The One”, “Meat Hook”, and “Guillotine”, which all sound like they’re going to be super uplifting and not depressing at all 🙅‍♂️.

But hey, at least the band is trying to do something different 🤔. Reavis says that the “Victim” trilogy is “an art project of storytelling and madness” 🎨. Okay, sure, dude 🙄. He also claims that it’s “a collection of stories from different individuals in separate time periods with their own agendas” 🕰️. Uh-huh, because that’s not confusing at all 🙃.

Tour Dates and Other Stuff

A KILLER’S CONFESSION is also going on tour, because what’s an album release without a tour, right? 🚌. They’ll be playing with bands like DIZASTERPIECE and DEAD THINGS, which all sound like they’re going to be super fun and not at all depressing 🎉. The tour starts on November 4 and goes until December 5, so you’ve got plenty of time to get your angst on 🤘.

The band has also released a bunch of other songs and collaborations in the past, including a cover of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” 🌃. Because, you know, the world was just missing a metal cover of that song 🙄. They’ve also worked with artists like Brian “Head” Welch from KORN and Chad Gray from MUDVAYNE 🤘.

Anyway, that’s it for now 🙅‍♂️. Go listen to “Roses” and try to feel something, I guess 🎧. And don’t forget to buy “Victim 3” on November 13, or else the metal police will come after you 👮‍♂️. Just kidding, sort of 🤣.
