The GOP bills in question would make it a felony to perform these irreversible procedures on minors and cut off federal Medicaid funding for such experimental treatments. Common sense? Absolutely. These are basic common-sense measures that any rational parent would support. But don’t tell that to the Democrats, who are more concerned about validating confused children’s delusions than protecting their health and future fertility.
