Lesley Groff Apparently Forgets Everything Important Again

Lesley Groff Apparently Forgets Everything Important Again

Well, folks, I almost spilled my coffee reading this one. Lesley Groff, Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime assistant, told Congress that she never met any of the girls and young women who provided massages to Epstein and that she didn’t know anything about their backgrounds – including how old they were. But, bless their hearts, some Epstein survivors are saying that’s just not true.

It seems that Groff’s testimony has only fueled the frustration of Epstein survivors, many of whom are concerned that Congress’ interviews with Epstein associates will not lead to more accountability. Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell is the only person who has been prosecuted in the US in relation to Epstein, and the Justice Department has said there has been insufficient evidence to pursue other charges – even after it released millions of Epstein files.

Multiple Epstein survivors have come forward to dispute Groff’s claims, saying they met her in person and were paid by her. They also claim that Groff knew their ages and even asked for their school IDs. One survivor, Marina Lacerda, said she saw Groff regularly during her years of abuse and that Groff would often ask her detailed questions about new girls she planned to bring to Epstein.

It’s worth noting that Groff was listed as a potential co-conspirator to Epstein as part of the controversial non-prosecution agreement struck with federal prosecutors in Florida in 2008, but she has never been charged with a crime. Her lawyer did not respond to CNN’s request for comment on this story.

The House Oversight Committee is currently reviewing Groff’s transcript against available evidence, and a spokeswoman for the committee said they welcome any additional evidence from individuals who possess information. Sara Guerrero, communications director for the oversight committee’s top Democrat, Rep. Robert Garcia, said that Groff knew what was happening in Epstein’s inner circle and that Chairman Comer should have required her to testify under oath.

In conclusion, it seems that Lesley Groff’s testimony has raised more questions than answers, and it’s up to Congress to get to the bottom of it. As one Epstein survivor said, “Can we just have one person at least come in and take accountability and bring in full transparency?” Indeed, transparency is what’s needed here, and hopefully, Congress will provide it. And who knows, maybe Groff will finally tell the truth – but I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.
