OMG! 😱 HEART guitarist Nancy Wilson is SO triggered! She’s totally losing it because the Trump administration dared to play their ancient song “Barracuda” at some military parade thingy in Washington, D.C. 🙄 Like, it was to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary or something equally boring. And get this, it also coincided with President Donald Trump‘s 79th birthday! 🥳 Talk about a double whammy of epic proportions! 🤯
So, last night, Nancy decided to bless us with her wisdom on social media. She whined: “Earlier today, during a parade held in support of our nation’s military and organized by President Donald Trump, the song ‘Barracuda’ by HEART was played without permission or authorization from us.” 🙄 As if anyone actually cares if they got permission. It’s a public event, Nancy! Get over yourself! 🤣
“‘Barracuda’, written and performed by Ann [Wilson, HEART singer] and I, is a powerful piece of music that was never intended for political use.” 🤣 Oh, honey, please! It’s a rock song from the 70s! It’s not exactly “We Are the World.” Get a grip! 🙄
“As daughters of a U.S. Marine Corps major, we hold a deep and abiding respect for the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces.” 🙄 Yeah, right. If you respected them so much, you wouldn’t be throwing a hissy fit about a song being played at their parade. Just sayin’! 🤔 “On a day meant to honor that service, it’s important that music used in such settings reflects not only the tone of the event but also the wishes of the artists who created it.” 🙄 Translation: “Wah! Wah! It’s all about me!” 😭
Nancy even included a photo of herself wearing a hat that said “No Kings But Us,” a reference to the “No Kings” protests. 🙄 Seriously? “No Kings”? Is she living in the 1700s? 🤣 Get with the times, Nancy! 🕰️
Apparently, the military parade had all sorts of cool stuff like armored tanks, artillery vehicles, and even Black Hawk helicopters! 🚁 But who cares about that when Nancy Wilson’s precious feelings are hurt? 🙄
And get this, they even played an instrumental version of JOURNEY‘s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)”! 🎸 Can you imagine the horror?! 😱
Oh, and the attendance at Trump’s parade was supposedly smaller than the “No Kings” protests. 🤣 As if that matters. It’s not a popularity contest, people! 🙄
The Wilson sisters have a history of being triggered by politicians using “Barracuda.” 🤣 Back in 2008, they threw a fit when Sarah Palin played it. Talk about predictable! 🙄
Ann even said in an interview that “Barracuda” could be used by anyone but Trump. 🤣 So tolerant! So open-minded! 🙄 She also made it clear she wouldn’t vote for Trump. Groundbreaking! 🤯
And to top it all off, Nancy said she’s “embarrassed” to call herself an American. 🤣 Well, maybe she should move to Canada. 👋
According to Billboard, there are rules about using songs in political campaigns. 🙄 But who cares about rules when you can just whine on social media? 🤣
