Crime 101: Chris Hemsworth and a bunch of other famous people try not to trip over their own feet in a new heist movie trailer

Crime 101 5

Ah, yes, another gritty crime drama set in the glamorous cesspool that is Los Angeles. Because we haven’t seen enough of those, right? 🙄

Apparently, Chris Hemsworth, fresh from saving the universe, is now an “elusive thief” (whatever that means) terrorizing the 101 freeway. I didn’t know the 101 could be terrorized more than it already is by traffic. He’s got his eye on a “score of a lifetime,” because apparently, this guy only dreams big. Then, because every heist movie needs a random, unlikely pairing, he teams up with Halle Berry, playing a “disillusioned insurance broker.” Because that’s a natural fit, right? And because no crime movie is complete without a cop who just. won’t. quit., we have Mark Ruffalo as the “relentless detective” who is “closing in” on the operation. Groundbreaking stuff, people. Prepare for the edge of your seat…or maybe just to roll your eyes into next week.

Adapted from some novella by Don Winslow, because Hollywood has run out of original ideas. It’s directed by Bart Layton, who previously brought us *American Animals* and *The Imposter*. Oh, and look at this cast Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and, because why not, Nick Nolte are there too. I’m sure they all bring their A-game to this cinematic masterpiece. 😴

*Crime 101* will be gracing our screens on February 13th, 2026. Mark your calendars, folks, because you definitely don’t want to miss this one…unless you have, like, a life or something. 📅

Here’s a promotional poster, because apparently a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, those words are “generic,” “predictable,” and “we’re running out of ideas.”🖼️
