Cathedral Concert: Amadeus Concert Ensemble

🚨 KNOXVILLE’S 100th ORGAN EXTRAVAGANZA 🚨 Brace yourselves for the Cathedral Concert Series’ 100th flex! They’re dusting off the massive Casavant Freres ORGAN for its first-ever duo with an ORCHESTRA on March 8, 2025. 🎹🎻

Under the watchful eye of ACE Artistic Director Brian Salesky, Dr. Byongsuk Moon is fingers-crossed ready for the Knoxville premieres of Rheinberger’s Organ Concerto No. 2 and Stamm’s Celtic Pleasure. 🍀 Try not to fall asleep during Respighi’s Canticle. 😴

They’re starting early with Händel’s “Battle Music” (try not to wake the neighbors), while Diana Salesky belts out “Eternal source of light divine.” 🔥 Plus, trumpet duel time with Sarah Fellenbaum and Dr. Brett Long hitting Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets, and Mouret’s Suite to fake you out with the Masterpiece Theatre theme. 🎺🤴

Doors open 1 hour early at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville. 🚪 No gum, no food, no fun (probably). 🍬🚫 Stream it if you’re scared of the sacred silence: https://m.youtube.com/c/SacredHeartCathedralKnoxvilleTN 📺
