Phoebe Bridgers has released a new song titled “On Video,” her contribution to the soundtrack for A24’s newly released Primetime. Stream it below.
Written and performed by the Southern California native, “On Video” plays over the film’s end titles and arrives as part of the film’s complete soundtrack. Warm and fuzzy at first, the song explodes into a distorted squall that swallows its gentler prelude whole. On its way out, however, it reverts to a tender haze that settles over the wreckage with an air of resignation.
Phoebe Bridgers’ Acting Debut and Tour
In addition to being the first time Bridgers has written a song specifically for the closing credits of a feature film, Primetime also marks her acting debut. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, it is set in 2006 and stars Robert Pattinson as To Catch a Predator host Chris Hansen as he attempts to make television history. Additionally, the cast comprises Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, and Bokeem Woodbine. After premiering at the Venice International Film Festival earlier this month, it is now screening in theaters.
“On Video” is the singer-songwriter’s first release since she unveiled her third studio album in August. She is currently supporting her album Lost Weekend on “The Lost Tour,” her first full-band solo outing since 2023. She debuted the new song during her stop in Chicago last week and then performed it again in Columbus earlier this week.

The North American leg will continue through November 1st with support from Alex G, while Isaac Wood and Anaïs will join Bridgers when the trek resumes in Europe later that month.
