Dino Cazares Promises Not To Repeat Himself On New Fear Factory Album Somehow

Dino Cazares

Oh boy, are you guys ready for some epic news? 🤯 FEAR FACTORY just dropped a new single, “Roboticist”, and I’m still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor. I mean, it’s not like they’re a legendary band or anything, but still, this is kind of a big deal. The song features the band’s new singer, Milo Silvestro, and drummer, Pete Webber, who have been touring with the band for over three and a half years. I guess that’s what they mean by “breaking in” the new guys. Anyway, “Roboticist” is out now via Nuclear Blast, and I’m sure you’re all just dying to know what it sounds like. Well, let me tell you, it’s got all the classic FEAR FACTORY elements, but with a fresh twist. Or so I’ve heard. I mean, I haven’t actually listened to it yet, but I’m sure it’s great. 😊

So, in a recent interview with GRIMM Gent, Dino Cazares talked about the new single and how it came to be. Apparently, he wrote the instrumental version of “Roboticist” three years ago to promote his plugin, the Toneforge Disruptor. Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want to hear – a song written to sell a product. But hey, at least it’s a good song, right? 🤔 Cazares said: “Well, we had the ‘Roboticist’, the instrumental I did three years ago, for a plugin that I was promoting… and I wrote that song to show the different elements of what the plugin could do.” Wow, I bet that was a real challenge – writing a song to showcase a plugin. I mean, it’s not like he just phoned it in or anything.

The Song That Launched a Thousand Comments

After the song dropped, fans started commenting on how much it sounds like classic FEAR FACTORY, despite the new singer. And Cazares was all, “What’s the big deal? It’s my style, duh.” I mean, fair point, Dino. You are the mastermind behind FEAR FACTORY, after all. But still, it’s nice to see fans getting all excited about the new music. Cazares said: “Well, I don’t understand why they would need to say that because FEAR FACTORY is my style, pretty much.” Yeah, no kidding. I mean, it’s not like the band has been around for decades or anything.

But seriously, folks, “Roboticist” is a great song, and I’m sure the rest of the album will be just as awesome. Cazares promised that the new record will be diverse, with plenty of FEAR FACTORY elements, but also some new and exciting things. And with Milo Silvestro on vocals, I’m sure it’ll be a real treat. I mean, who doesn’t love a good “man versus machine” theme, am I right? 🤖 Cazares said: “For me personally, I love the new song… I love the record, and I can’t wait for people to hear the rest of it.” Yeah, me neither, Dino. Me neither.

Lyrics and Themes

The new album will reportedly continue the sci-fi and “man versus machine” themes that FEAR FACTORY is known for. Because, you know, that’s not a tired concept at all. 😒 Cazares said: “Well, we’ve always sang about it. That’s been our concept since day one.” Yeah, no kidding. I mean, it’s not like the band has been beating that horse to death or anything. But hey, at least they’re consistent, right?

And speaking of consistency, the band’s upcoming tour with CRYSTAL LAKE, HATE, and THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR should be a real blast. I mean, who doesn’t love a good cybernetic domination-themed tour? 🤖 The “Cybernetic Domination” European tour kicked off on August 29 in Poznan, Poland and concluded on October 10 in London, United Kingdom. And now, they’re taking the show on the road in the US, with a November 2026 tour featuring support from DARKEST HOUR and BROTALITY. Because, you know, the US needs more cybernetic domination in their lives.

So, there you have it, folks. FEAR FACTORY is back, and they’re better than ever. Or, at the very least, they’re still kicking and screaming about the dangers of technology. 🤖 And hey, who can blame them? I mean, have you seen the state of the world lately? It’s like, we’re all just a bunch of robots living in a simulated reality or something. 🤯 But hey, at least we have FEAR FACTORY to remind us of the importance of human emotion and creativity. Or, you know, to just rock out to and forget about our troubles. Either way, it’s a win-win. 🤘
