I’m sitting here with my coffee, reading about the latest development with the Qatari-donated jet that’s supposed to be serving as Air Force One, and I have to say, folks, it’s a real treat. Apparently, the White House is working to quickly upgrade the jet, because, you know, it’s not quite up to par when it comes to flying the President around. I mean, who wouldn’t want to fly in a plane that’s been donated by Qatar, right? It’s not like there are any security concerns or anything.
So, it turns out that before Trump flew to Turkey on this fancy new plane, officials were all like, “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t take this thing to high-threat areas, like Israel, because, you know, it’s not exactly the most secure plane in the world.” But then they were all, “Nah, it’s fine, let’s just take it to Turkey instead.” And then Trump got on the plane and flew it to Turkey, and everything was just peachy. Until, of course, they realized that maybe they shouldn’t have done that, because, you know, security and all that jazz.
Now, I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on aviation or anything, but it seems to me that if you’re going to be flying the President around, you might want to make sure the plane is, you know, secure. I mean, it’s not like they’re just flying around with a bunch of civilians or something. But hey, what do I know? Maybe I’m just being paranoid. Maybe the plane is perfectly safe, and they’re just upgrading it out of an abundance of caution. Yeah, that’s it.
So, Trump is still going to be using the plane for domestic trips, and maybe even some international travel, before they finish the upgrades. Because, you know, it’s not like they can just, you know, not use the plane or anything. And then there’s the whole thing with Boeing and the new planes they’re building, which are supposed to be delivered in 2028. I mean, I’m no expert, but it seems to me that if you’re going to be building a new plane, you might want to make sure it’s, you know, secure. But hey, what do I know?
It’s also worth noting that Trump has been very involved in the design of the plane, down to the flooring in each individual area. Because, you know, that’s what’s really important when it comes to flying the President around. I mean, who needs security when you can have nice flooring? And then there’s the whole thing with the plane being “the world’s most luxurious plane.” I mean, because that’s what really matters, right? Not, you know, the security of the President or anything.
In conclusion, it seems to me that this whole thing is just a big mess. I mean, you’ve got a plane that’s not secure, and you’re flying the President around in it, and you’re trying to upgrade it, but you’re not really sure if it’s going to be enough. And then you’ve got Boeing building new planes, which are supposed to be delivered in 2028, but who knows if they’ll even be ready by then. It’s just a big mess, folks. But hey, at least the plane has nice flooring, right? 🙄
