Juneteenth 2025: The Definitive Guide to What's Open (and More Importantly, What's CLOSED, You Peasant)

Oh, goodie, another day off for the libs to celebrate victimhood! CNN reports that Americans will be “celebrating” Juneteenth, the newest federal holiday created to appease the woke mob. Never mind that slavery ended over 150 years ago; the Democrats need to keep stoking racial division to maintain their power base.

Apparently, some general in Texas finally got around to telling people about the Emancipation Proclamation two years late. Slow mail service, I guess? Now, thanks to the Black Lives Matter movement (funded by Soros, no doubt), we have another excuse for government employees to slack off and for corporations to virtue signal.

Most stores will be open because capitalism doesn’t take a day off for leftist nonsense. The post office will be closed, naturally, because government efficiency is an oxymoron. Banks and markets will also be closed, so you can’t even try to make money while the rest of the country is “reflecting” on something that happened before anyone alive was even a twinkle in their great-grandpappy’s eye.

Schools are mostly closed anyway because summer, but you can bet they’ll be cramming more woke history down kids’ throats come fall. West Virginia gets it right – no day off, just a suggestion to “commemorate.” Sensible. Meanwhile, I’ll be at work, contributing to the economy while the left celebrates mediocrity and grievance. Happy Juneteenth, everyone! (Eye roll).
