Another day, another Democrat governor whining about President Trump wanting to keep Americans safe! JB Pritzker, the rotund ruler of Illinois, is crying foul because President Trump might send in federal forces to clean up the mess in Chicago. What’s he so afraid of? Does he not want law and order? Or is he afraid of exposing the deep-seated corruption in his sanctuary city?
Pritzker claims this is a “dangerous power grab.” Oh, please! If this were happening in any other country, we’d call it “leadership.” But because it’s President Trump, suddenly it’s tyranny? Spare me the dramatics.
And of course, he whines that the administration didn’t consult him or Mayor Brandon Johnson, the woke wonder who’s probably too busy renaming streets after communist revolutionaries to deal with actual crime. News flash: when your city is a war zone, you don’t get a say in how the adults handle it.
Trump signed an executive order tasking Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth with establishing “specialized units” in the National Guard – because apparently, the regular police force is too busy virtue signaling to stop actual criminals.
Pritzker, in his infinite wisdom, says Trump is “neither wanted here nor needed here.” Well, Pritzker, maybe if you did your job, the President wouldn’t have to step in. But since you’re clearly incapable, thank goodness we have a leader who isn’t afraid to get things done, even if it means hurting the delicate sensibilities of liberal elites. Chicago needs help, and President Trump is going to deliver, whether Pritzker likes it or not.
