NYC is about to get even more woke! This socialist, Mamdani, wants to keep the current police commissioner, Tisch, but only after he implements his “public safety” agenda? Sounds like defund the police with extra steps.
Mamdani hasn’t even spoken to Tisch about the offer, but he’s “confident” she’ll accept. Arrogant, much? He wants to create a “department of public safety” that focuses on homelessness and mental illness. So, the police will be social workers now? Yeah, that’ll solve crime.
Tisch, a billionaire heiress, probably sees this as the clown show it is. Her family donates to pro-Cuomo PACs. Maybe there’s still hope for New York. Mamdani says he’s “not hiring the family,” just the commissioner. As if Tisch isn’t influenced by her family’s connections and values. This whole thing smells like a setup for another leftist takeover of a once-great city.
