Mötley Crüe have announced the release of a 45th anniversary edition box set of their debut album, Too Fast For Love, set to arrive October 30th via BMG. The announcement also comes with the release of a music video for the previously unreleased demo track “Nobody Knows What It’s Like to Be Lonely” from 1981.
Box Set Details
The box set includes both the wide-release 1982 Elektra Records version of their debut as well as the far rarer 1981 Leathür Records issuing that was self-released by the band. The set will also include a live double album titled Live at Perkins Palace 1982 featuring early versions of tracks from 1983’s Shout at the Devil, a 5-track vinyl of their 1981 studio recorded demos, a replica of their debut 7″ single for “Stick To Your Guns” b/w “Toast of the Town,” which never appeared on a studio release, as well as a replica of their 1981 demo cassette.
Music Video and Tour
“Nobody Knows What It’s Like to Be Lonely” is a Sabbathian doomy heavy metal track, fitting the occult-adjacent look Mötley Crüe sported for a stretch of their early career. The music video features grainy black and white footage of skulls, pentagrams, and candelabras fit with white and black candles, fitting the sinister vibe. Mötley Crüe are currently finishing up their summer tour featuring Extreme and Tesla as support.
Tracklist and Pre-Orders
The Too Fast For Love 45th anniversary box set tracklist includes the 1981 Leathür Records edition and the 1982 Elektra Records edition of the album, as well as the live album Live at Perkins Palace 1982 and the 1981 demos. Pre-orders are available here, with an Amazon exclusive set to be available soon.
In conclusion, the 45th anniversary edition box set of Mötley Crüe‘s debut album Too Fast For Love is a must-have for fans of the band and heavy metal music. With its extensive tracklist and exclusive content, this box set is a celebration of Mötley Crüe‘s enduring legacy and influence on the music world.
