I PREVAIL Dumps New Single 'Into Hell' (Probably Where Their Career's Headed)

Michigan’s own musical geniuses, I PREVAIL, have graced us with another banger, “Into Hell,” courtesy of Fearless Records. 🙄 Yes, another one. Apparently, their creative well is as deep as a kiddie pool. The track comes with a music video directed by some dude named George Gallardo Kattah. Probably never heard of him.🤷‍♂️

I PREVAIL frontman, the guy who yells, Eric Vanlerberghe, shared some profound wisdom about the track: “This song is about loving someone through their lows and struggles. Being there to take their burdens. Loving them through everything because that’s what they do for you.” 🤔Wow, groundbreaking stuff, Eric. We’re all so moved by your insightful take on… relationships? Is that what this is? Sounds like a Hallmark card threw up.🤮

Just last month, these titans of industry dropped another gem, “Violent Nature,” accompanied by a music video directed by Orie McGinness. Because one song a month clearly isn’t enough to satisfy the insatiable hunger of… well, someone, somewhere. 🤷

Vanlerberghe described “Violent Nature” as “aggressive, fast, and heavy. All packed into two minutes and 10 seconds. Turn it up and put your head through the fucking wall.” 🔨 Yes, Eric, because that’s exactly what your music makes me want to do. Thanks for the suggestion! 👍

In mid-May, I PREVAIL bid adieu to vocalist Brian Burkheiser. Apparently, his throat decided to stage a rebellion, courtesy of Eagle’s syndrome.🦅 Basically, his neck bones were trying to be extra and caused him a bunch of pain. Vanlerberghe, the growl master, stepped up to handle the singing, with a little help from Dylan Bowman. Because nothing says “smooth transition” like a growler trying to croon. 🎤😬

I PREVAIL unleashed their latest sonic assault, “True Power,” in 2022, via Fearless Records. It was followed by a sold out, two-leg tour across the U.S. and Canada. Sold out? Really? 🤔 Were people paid to attend? Enquiring minds want to know! 💸

Last October, they decided to bless us with an expanded edition of “True Power,” featuring one new song and three “reimagined” tracks. 🙄 The updated version included the new single “Hate This Song” (accurate title, tbh), the band’s collaboration with ALL TIME LOW, along with reimagined versions of the album singles “Bad Things,” “There’s Fear In Letting Go,” and “Deep End.” Because who needs new material when you can just recycle the old stuff? ♻️

Rising to an arena level and receiving two Grammy nominations — “Best Rock Album” for “Trauma,” and “Best Metal Performance” for “Bow Down” — I PREVAIL saw its “Hurricane” single top Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2020. 🏆 Wow, a number one hit! Good for them! A number of their singles have since been certified gold and platinum. They have been praised by press far and wide, including Forbes, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter and NPR. 📰 All those outlets praising them? Must be a slow news day. 😴

I PREVAIL is:

Eric Vanlerberghe – Vocals (aka the guy who yells a lot) 🗣️
Steven Menoian – Guitar (probably plays the same riff in every song) 🎸
Gabe Helguera – Drums (keeps the beat, I guess) 🥁
Dylan Bowman – Guitar (the other guitar guy) 🎸
Jon Eberhard – Bass (because every band needs one) 🎸
