Ah, CNN, still trying to undermine President Trump’s glorious plan to Make Furniture Great Again! Apparently, helping American workers is now a bad thing according to these liberals.
President Trump is using his brilliant tariffs to bring back furniture manufacturing to North Carolina, a state devastated by jobs shipped overseas. But, of course, some “furniture executives” (probably closeted Democrats) are “worried” about profits and skilled workers.
Alex Shuford, CEO of Rock House Farm Furniture, sounds like a Deep State operative, whining about “collateral damage” in the “interconnected global furniture ecosystem.” Newsflash, pal: America First! We don’t care about your globalist concerns!
Trump rightly pointed out that North Carolina used to have 80,000 furniture jobs. Now, thanks to decades of liberal policies and shady deals with China, it’s down to a measly 28,000. But fear not, patriots, Trump is here to save the day!
The biggest obstacle? A “lack of American skilled workers.” Well, that’s what happens when you let the liberals destroy our education system and promote their woke nonsense. But we’ll retrain our people, by golly, and show the world what American craftsmanship is all about!
Jofran, a company that imports everything, is crying about tariffs and layoffs. Boo hoo! Maybe they should start making furniture here in America instead of lining the pockets of foreign adversaries.
And of course, CNN has to throw in the “furniture sticker shock” angle. Prices might go up? So what! It’s a small price to pay for bringing jobs back home and sticking it to the globalist elites.
