Oh boy, are you guys ready for some exciting news? 🤯 I mean, I can barely contain my enthusiasm… 😴 PRONG is back with a new album, and I’m sure it’s going to be a game-changer… or not. 🤷♂️ The band’s self-titled debut on Napalm Records is set to drop on November 6, and we’ve got the first single, “The Banner”, to wet our appetites. Because, you know, we were all just waiting with bated breath for new PRONG music. 🙄
So, “The Banner” is out, and it’s… well, it’s PRONG. You know, the usual machine-tight riffage, Tommy Victor’s vicious barks, and a whole lot of attitude. Because, why fix what ain’t broke, right? 🤔 The band’s been around for nearly four decades, and they’re still churning out the same old sound. I mean, who needs innovation when you can just stick to what you’re good at? 🤷♂️
About “The Banner”, Tommy Victor states: “We are unbelievably excited to share the first single, ‘The Banner’, from our upcoming self-titled record. Andy Sneap’s mix and master is absolutely blistering and ferocious. The Legacy of PRONG
PRONG has been a respected force in the scene for, well, forever. They’ve been gigging around the world, playing all the big festivals like Wacken Open Air, Alcatraz, and Brutal Assault. Because, you know, they’re just that cool. 😎 They’ve also released a bunch of classic albums that have dominated TV, radio, and streaming. Yeah, because who needs to evolve when you can just keep doing the same thing over and over? 🤷♂️
The new album, “Prong”, packs 11 galvanizing haymakers, encompassing elements of industrial, thrash, alternative rock, and, of course, New York hardcore. Because, why choose just one genre when you can have them all? 🤯 It’s like they took all their old albums, put them in a blender, and hit puree. 🍹
The Album
Victor previously said about the upcoming LP: “This could be the best PRONG album to date. It’s definitely the best-sounding PRONG album ever, with the incredible Andy Sneap mixing and mastering it! This record represents a new lease on life for PRONG with a new label, a fresh attitude with faster and heavier songs, bigger hooks and top-notch sound quality. That’s why it’s self-titled; it’s a redefining episode for PRONG!” Yeah, because we’ve never heard that before. 🙄 I mean, who doesn’t love a good sales pitch? 🤑
The album will come in a myriad of formats, because, you know, we all need more stuff to buy. 🛍️ There’s a Black LP, Inkspot Cristallo/Red LP, White Label LP, digital album, and a CD with two bonus tracks. Because, why settle for just the music when you can have a bunch of fancy packaging? 🎁
And, of course, they’re going on tour. Because, what’s a new album without a tour, right? 🚌 The “Prong Uprising” 2026 European tour dates have been announced, and I’m sure it’ll be a blast. I mean, who doesn’t love a good dose of nostalgia? 🎉
In conclusion, PRONG is back, and they’re still doing their thing. 🤷♂️ If you’re a fan, you’ll probably love the new album. If not, well, there’s always something else to listen to. 🤔 Either way, it’s not like it’s going to change the world or anything. 🌎 But hey, at least we can all agree that “The Banner” is a decent song. 🤘
