OMG 😱 Disney+ is about to drop another K-drama bomb 💣 next month! Get ready for *Our Movie*, starring Namkoong Min (aka Mr. “My Dearest” himself, swoon 😍) and Jeon Yeo-been (from the legendary *Vincenzo*). They’ve even graced us with a “teaser.” Prepare to be underwhelmed. 🙄
So, next month, Disney+ is unleashing *Our Movie* upon the world. It’s about a director and an actress, both conveniently riddled with health issues. Because nothing screams “romance” like impending doom, amirite? 💀
Our Movie (Because Originality is Overrated)
The series follows Lee Je-ha (Namkoong Min), a director whose first film was apparently a massive hit. Talk about pressure! 😩 Five years later (yes, FIVE), he’s finally making a comeback with a film about someone who’s, like, totally about to kick the bucket. 🪣 While “researching” (aka Googling “terminal illnesses”), he bumps into Lee Da-eum (Jeon Yeo-been), a struggling actress with a rare and incurable disease. How convenient! 🤪 She instantly connects with the dying character because, duh, she’s basically dying too! Da-eum is all sunshine and rainbows despite her impending expiration date, and helps Je-ha with his film. Naturally, they fall in love. Because that’s not cliché at all. 🙄
In the “teaser” (and I use that term loosely), Da-eum ponders the age-old question: what happens to love when you die? 🤔 “I believe that even after we die, true love lasts forever.” Gag me with a spoon! 🤮 Je-ha, being the cynical genius he is, has a different take: “Even love that feels endless will eventually fade.” He also confesses that he’s making the film because he has no freakin’ clue what love is. Maybe he should try watching a rom-com for once. 🤷♀️
Besides Namkoong Min (swoon!) and Jeon Yeo-been (bow down!), we also have Lee Seol (from *D.P.*, which is actually good) and Seo Hyun-woo (of *Seoul Busters*, which I’m pretty sure no one watched). *Our Movie* will be available on Disney+ starting Friday, June 13th. Because nothing says “romance” like a Friday the 13th release. 🤡
