Finally, a Date for That Ebony & Ivory Thing No One Asked For

Ebony and Ivory Press Still 2

Anti-Worlds, bless their cotton socks, will be unleashing Jim Hosking’s latest cinematic masterpiece (or dumpster fire, jury’s still out 👨‍⚖️) EBONY & IVORY, starring thespians Sky Elobar and Gil Gex in the UK and Ireland on September 19th. Because what better way to spend a Thursday than questioning your life choices in a darkened room? This film promises to continue Hosking’s descent into wild and absurdist comedy, following his previous ventures into cult obscurity, THE GREASY STRANGLER (🤢) and AN EVENING WITH BEVERLY LUFF LINN (who?).

Two musical *legends* (citation needed) gather in a Scottish Cottage on The Mull of Kintyre (where?) for a *tense* summit (probably just awkward small talk) to discuss a *potential* collaboration (that may or may not happen) that will *ultimately* result in a *global* Number One smash hit single (yeah, right). Prepare for earworms and existential dread in equal measure! 🎶😵‍💫

EBONY & IVORY is directed by Jim Hosking, because who else would take responsibility for this? Starring Sky Elobar and Gil Gex, because clearly their agents owe them a favour, with music by Andrew Hung, who hopefully got paid upfront. The film is produced by Denzil Monk, Ant Timpson, Jim Hosking, and Thelonious Brooks, because it takes a village to raise a questionable film, with executive producers Melanie Bridge, Robert Dujmusic, Michael Flexner, Sharlene George, Laura Giles, Ted Held, Tim League, Daniel Noah, Paul Prince, Alexander Stojak, Nicole Wendeborn & Elijah Wood, who are all probably regretting their life choices right about now. 💸🤦‍♀️

Anti-Worlds’ Andy Starke (poor soul) says, “It’s a huge pleasure to be working with Jim again. His technicolour neo-psychedelic comedy is exactly the tonic the world needs at the moment.” (said through gritted teeth, probably). Yes, because what the world REALLY needs is more technicolour neo-psychedelic weirdness. Forget world peace, climate change, or affordable healthcare, we’ve got Jim Hosking! 🌈💊

Born in the glamorous town of Boring, Oregon, Finn grew up with dreams of being a Hollywood director until he realized that satire, not cinema, was his true calling—or at least the one that let him sleep until noon.
