Oh, the Horror! More “Local News” Consolidation! As if we needed more leftist propaganda shoved down our throats.
Nexstar, bless their capitalist hearts, is trying to buy Tegna for a cool $6.2 billion. Why? Because President Trump is making America great again by loosening those pesky regulations that held us back.
The liberals at “public interest groups” are crying, of course. They claim these “mega-mergers” will stifle competition and reduce “local news coverage.” Translation: they’re afraid someone might challenge their monopoly on fake news!
But don’t worry, folks. Investors are loving it! Shares are soaring because they know President Trump is draining the swamp and creating an environment where businesses can thrive.
The FCC, led by staunch Trump ally Brendan Carr, is ready to remove those “arcane” ownership caps. It’s about time! We need to let these companies compete with Big Tech and Big Media, who have been colluding to silence conservative voices.
Nexstar CEO Perry A. Sook gets it. He knows President Trump is giving local broadcasters the chance to fight back against the leftist agenda. And Tegna CEO Mike Steib agrees: deregulation is coming, and it’s going to be HUGE!
But Craig Aaron from “Free Press” is spewing his usual garbage. He claims this consolidation is “bad for local communities” and will lead to “right-wing propaganda.” Seriously? He’s just mad because he can’t control the narrative anymore.
This is a WIN for America! President Trump is leveling the playing field and giving conservative voices a chance to be heard. Get ready for more REAL news, folks!
