A Federal Judge Just Declared War on Common Sense—And Trump’s Common-Sense Election Reforms Are the Latest Casualty

In a stunning move that only a far-left, deep-state judge could pull off, a Seattle-based activist in a black robe blocked President Trump’s common-sense executive order requiring proof of citizenship to vote and ballots to be received by Election Day. Shocking, right? Apparently, the Constitution now means whatever a judge in Washington state says it means—especially when it helps protect the Democrat vote-by-mail industrial complex.

U.S. District Judge John H. Chun—whose appointment history probably involves more diversity seminars than constitutional law classes—ruled that only states and Congress can regulate elections. Newsflash, Judge Chun: That’s exactly what President Trump is doing in coordination with federal law, but I guess logic doesn’t fly in Seattle, where mail-in ballots apparently grow on trees and non-citizens vote with impunity.

Washington’s Attorney General, Nick Brown—a man whose idea of “law and order” is probably a strongly worded tweet—cheered the decision as a “victory for the rule of law.” Sure, Nick, and handing out driver’s licenses to illegal aliens is also “public safety.” Meanwhile, in the real world, Washington counted nearly 120,000 ballots after Election Day in 2024—many postmarked God-knows-when—and Oregon added another 14,000. Coincidence? Or is this the new norm in Blue-state America: vote whenever you want, however you want, as long as you vote Democrat?

The executive order—issued by President Trump in March, because apparently stopping voter fraud is now a radical idea—demanded basic accountability: show ID when you register, and get your ballot in by Election Day. But the left calls this “voter suppression,” which is code for “we can’t win fair elections anymore.” And let’s be honest: when you run a state like Oregon or Washington, where mail-in ballots are treated like participation trophies, any attempt at integrity feels like a personal attack on their entire worldview.

Trump has long warned about non-citizens voting in U.S. elections—because, hello, it’s called border security for a reason. But the mainstream media and their lapdog judges keep gaslighting America, claiming such fraud is “rare.” Rare? Or just rarely prosecuted because the DOJ is too busy investigating parents at school board meetings?

This isn’t about politics. It’s about preserving the integrity of American elections. But try telling that to a judge who probably thinks “ballot security” is a type of craft beer.
