Trump Passports Now Available Because You Clearly Want Them

Folks, I’m sipping my coffee and reading about the latest development with US passports, and I have to say, it’s quite the story. The US State Department has announced that they will be offering commemorative passports featuring President Donald Trump’s image on the inside cover at special events across the United States. I mean, who wouldn’t want a passport with a picture of the former President on it, right? The commemorative passports show a stone-faced Trump leaning over the Resolute Desk above his signature on the inside cover, and they were first announced in the spring as limited editions to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

The department began issuing these passports in early July to those who applied in person at the Washington, DC, passport agency. And now, due to “overwhelming demand,” they’re making an additional 250,000 of these special commemorative passports available to the public. Americans all across the country will now have the opportunity to apply for one of these additional special passports, known as the ‘Patriot Passport.’ I guess that’s one way to get people excited about passports.

It’s worth noting that Americans will not automatically receive the commemorative passport. If you want one, you’ll have to apply for an in-person appointment at a “250th Anniversary commemorative passport application event,” which are being held in August and September at agencies around the US. You can also receive one if you get a standard passport in-person at the Washington, DC passport office. I’m sure it’ll be a real party.

For those who do not want one, don’t worry, you can apply online, mail in your application, apply at a US embassy or consulate abroad, or apply at an acceptance facility like a library or post office. And if you’re applying in-person in Washington, DC, you can opt for a large passport book, which uses the existing design without Trump. Because, you know, some people might not want the former President’s face on their passport.

In conclusion, it’s been an interesting ride reading about these commemorative passports. I mean, who knew passports could be so exciting? It’s all about the little things, like getting a special edition passport with a picture of the former President on it. As I finish my coffee, I have to say, it’s been a wild morning, and I’m glad I got to share it with you. And to all those who are excited about these commemorative passports, I say, enjoy your new passport, and don’t forget to show it off at your next dinner party – I’m sure it’ll be a real conversation starter! 😊
