Oh boy, are you guys ready for some more Body Count? 😂 Because, apparently, Ice-T and Ernie C are already cooking up some new material for the follow-up to their 2024 album “Merciless”. I mean, who needs a break, right? 🤯 They’re like the metal equivalent of your aunt who just won’t stop sending you Facebook invites to her essential oil parties. 🙄
According to a recent interview with Metalshop TV, Ice-T and Ernie C have already got a working title for their next album, “Death Wish”. Wow, real subtle, guys. I mean, who wouldn’t want to listen to an album called “Death Wish” after the dumpster fire that was 2024? 🌪️ It’s like they’re trying to create the perfect soundtrack for the apocalypse or something.
The Creative Process
Ice-T explained that the creative process for the new album is just getting started, with the guys making riffs and coming up with ideas. Because, you know, that’s exactly what the world needs – more riffs. 🤘 I mean, can you imagine the meeting where they decided to start working on a new album? “Alright guys, let’s make some more music… and also let’s try not to make it too terrible this time.” 🤷♂️
In all seriousness, Ernie C did mention that the band’s musical direction has been getting progressively heavier, which, let’s be real, is just a nice way of saying they’re trying to keep up with the times. 🕰️ I mean, it’s not like they’re trying to be relevant or anything (okay, maybe they are). But hey, if it means we get more songs like “Cop Killer”, I’m all for it. 🤟
Politics and Music
When asked about the current political situation in the US and how it’s shaping the new album, Ice-T said he’s trying to stay away from politics in his lyrics. Because, you know, that’s exactly what people want to hear – more apolitical music from a band that’s known for being outspoken. 🙄 I mean, come on, Ice-T, you’re a rapper from the gang world, and you’re telling me you can’t find anything to say about the state of the world? 🤔
But in all seriousness, Ice-T did make some valid points about how the current state of the world is just too obvious to write about. I mean, who needs to write songs about politics when the news is already writing itself? 📰 It’s like, what’s the point of singing about Trump when you can just watch the news and get the same effect? 📺
In conclusion, it looks like Body Count is back and ready to rock (or at least, that’s what they’re trying to do). With a new album on the horizon and a working title that’s just begging to be made into a bad action movie, I’m sure we can all look forward to some more of Ice-T’s signature rhymes and Ernie C’s face-melting guitar solos. 🤘 So, stay tuned, folks! It’s gonna be a wild ride. 🎢🤪
