In a world where corporate secrecy is about as effective as a politicians’ promise, it’s no surprise that Rockstar Games’ upcoming masterpiece has been leaked to the point where we’re starting to think it’s all just a clever marketing ploy. I mean, who needs a fancy trailer when you can just have some crypto-obsessed leaker spill all the beans? Cyberleek, the infamous data leaker, has struck again, showcasing even more gameplay and the dress code for players in Vice City – which, spoiler alert, includes the option to go naked because, why not?
The Leak that Keeps on Leaking
In the words of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’ CJ Johnson, “Here we go again.” This morning, Cyberleek has returned to shill leaked GTA VI material once more, after making off with thousands from their latest cryptocurrency venture. Because what’s a little leak without a side of crypto scams, am I right? After leaking Grand Theft Auto VI, Cyberleek launched a memecoin that tanked immediately, leaving investors holding the empty bag, and he made off with a reported $250,000. Nice work if you can get it, I suppose.
Crypto Shenanigans
For those who don’t know, a cryptocurrency rug pull is when a person/influencer/creator launches a memecoin, uses hype to attract investments, and then abandons the project after dropping their shares when the price is at its highest on launch day. This always tanks the memecoin’s value, allowing the person who started the venture to obtain instant profits, while investors lose most of their investment instantly. It’s like a game of musical chairs, except instead of chairs, it’s people’s life savings. Cyberleek did this with the $CYBERLEEK coin, and now he’s back with more leaked material because, apparently, he didn’t get enough attention the first time around.
The Leak that Broke the Camel’s Back
Previous GTA VI leaks avoided main story spoilers and a good chunk of the overarching gameplay, but today’s leak dove straight into everything the title has to offer. This new leak reported by Kotaku breaks into the game’s main activities and shows 25 minutes of chopped-up GTA VI gameplay. If fans want to remain unspoiled, staying off of social media and the internet may be the best idea – or they could just embrace the chaos and join the leak train. After all, it’s not like Rockstar Games is going to be able to keep anything under wraps at this point.
The latest leak shows that fans can do nearly the entire game naked, as Jason is shown doing activities, “Donald Duck-ing it”. This includes sitting on a dirt bike and having a conversation at a coffee shop, and Rockstar Games has gone the extra length to give his appendage what could be referred to as sway physics. Because, why not? It’s not like we haven’t seen this before in games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. On top of that, street racing and car tuning have returned, letting players live out their Fast and Furious dreams.
Regardless of leaked material, Grand Theft Auto VI is still scheduled to launch in full on November 19. And honestly, at this point, I’m just excited to see how Rockstar Games plans to top all these leaks with their actual marketing campaign. Will they just throw in the towel and say, “You know what, just play the game and see for yourself”? Probably not, but a guy can dream. The real question is, what’s next? Will we get a leak of the game’s entire soundtrack? Maybe a sneak peek at the DLC roadmap? The world may never know, but one thing’s for sure – it’s going to be a wild ride until November 19.
