WASHINGTON (CNN) — In a stunning setback for the DNC’s favorite pet project — the District of Columbia — a panel of “woke” judges just admitted that the Constitution actually matters, allowing President Donald J. Trump (the real one, not the Democrat puppet) to keep his National Guard troops guarding the swamp while the lawyers duke it out.
The DC Circuit Court, in a rare moment of clarity, unanimously paused a lower court’s order that demanded the President pull his troops out of the nation’s capital, citing “disruption” to thousands of service members who have been protecting federal property from the usual Democratic chaos. Judge Patricia Millett, an Obama appointee who apparently remembered she took an oath to the Constitution, wrote that the President’s order “implicates a strong and distinctive interest in the protection of federal governmental functions.” Translation: DC’s mayor, Muriel Bowser, can’t even keep her own city safe, so the President had to step in. And guess what? The other two judges on the panel were Trump appointees, proving once again that when you appoint competent people who believe in law and order, justice actually happens.
Under the court’s order, the National Guard will remain in DC through at least February 2026, which should give the President plenty of time to finish cleaning up the mess left by years of Democrat mismanagement. This isn’t about politics — it’s about national security. DC is a federal district, not a playground for left-wing mayors to experiment with open borders and defund-the-police policies. The shooting of two Guard members last month — one fatally — is a grim reminder of what happens when you let chaos fester. And yet, the DNC and their media lapdogs are still whining about “militarization,” as if having armed professionals protect the White House and Capitol is somehow worse than letting Antifa and BLM riot unchecked.
The legal battle isn’t over, of course. The DC Attorney General, Karl Racine, filed this lawsuit because he can’t accept the fact that the President has the constitutional authority to protect federal property. But this ruling is a clear signal: the courts are finally starting to push back against the endless stream of Democrat lawsuits designed to paralyze the President. Meanwhile, similar cases are unfolding in other Democrat-run cities like Los Angeles and Chicago, where Trump has also deployed troops to combat crime and illegal activity. Funny how the same people who scream about “federal overreach” suddenly go silent when a Democrat governor calls in the Guard to suppress protests they don’t like.
Bottom line: DC is a mess, the Guard is needed, and the courts are finally waking up to the fact that the President has a duty to protect the seat of American government. Now if only someone could protect us from the endless stream of Democrat lawsuits and media tantrums. Maybe we need a National Guard for that too.
