Oh boy, are you guys ready for some mind-blowing news? I just found out that Rudy Sarzo, the legendary hard rock bassist, has released a new solo song called “Your Heart Is The Road” and I’m still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor. I mean, who doesn’t love a good solo song from a 70s rock legend, right? 😂 The song was released on June 24, 2026, to celebrate Rudy and his wife Rebecca’s 42nd wedding anniversary, because what’s more romantic than a face-melting solo song? 🤘
Rudy Sarzo, the man who has played with everyone from Ozzy Osbourne to Quiet Riot, has finally decided to go solo and show the world what he’s working with. And let me tell you, the man still has it. In a recent interview with Ernest Skinner of Border City Rock Talk, Rudy admitted to using artificial intelligence during the making of “Your Heart Is The Road”. Because, you know, who needs human musicians when you have AI, right? 🤖
Seriously though, Rudy explained that he didn’t have the budget to hire a bunch of musicians to play on his song, so he used AI to fill in the gaps. And honestly, it’s not like it’s the end of the world or anything. I mean, who hasn’t used a little bit of AI in their music, am I right? 🤷♂️ But hey, at least Rudy is being upfront about it, unlike some bands that shall remain nameless *cough* Milli Vanilli *cough*.
The Song Itself
So, about the song “Your Heart Is The Road”… it’s actually pretty good. I mean, it’s no “Crazy Train” or “Barracuda”, but it’s a solid effort from a guy who’s been in the business for over 50 years. The lyrics are all about his wife and how much he loves her, which is sweet, I guess. I mean, who doesn’t love a good love song, right? ❤️ But let’s be real, the real star of the show is Rudy’s bass playing. The man can still shred like it’s 1979.
Rudy’s Career
Rudy Sarzo has had an incredible career, playing with some of the biggest names in rock music. From Ozzy Osbourne to Quiet Riot to Whitesnake, the man has done it all. And let’s not forget his time with Dio, where he played on the “Holy Diver 25th Anniversary Live” DVD and CD. The man is a legend, plain and simple. But despite all his success, Rudy is still humble and willing to try new things, like using AI in his music. Which, let’s be real, is either really brave or really stupid. 🤔
So, what’s next for Rudy Sarzo? Will he continue to release solo music and tour the world, or will he go back to playing with a big-name band? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the man is still rocking and rolling, and that’s all that matters. 🤘 So, go ahead and give “Your Heart Is The Road” a listen, and let’s all appreciate the fact that Rudy Sarzo is still making music after all these years. Cheers to that! 🍺
