Xbox Games Showcase 2025: Finally, A Fighting Game Where You Can Actually Lose

Invincible VS feature

OMG! 🤩 Another superhero game? Seriously? 🙄 Like we don’t have enough of those already! But wait, it’s based on Invincible? The show that’s apparently in its “third season” according to some “reviewers” who probably get paid to say that. 🤣 And it’s a fighting game? Because that’s exactly what the world needs: more button-mashing chaos with characters we barely care about! 😴

Skybound Games, the geniuses behind this groundbreaking idea, and their “in-house studio,” Quarter Up (because that sounds SO professional), decided to grace us with Invincible VS. A 3v3 tag fighter? Groundbreaking! 🤯 Apparently, it’s “brutal, bloody, and frenetic,” just like every other fighting game trying to be edgy. Did they even bother showing the tag system in the trailer? Nah, why bother with important details when you can just cut to random fights and hope people don’t notice? 🤪 They’re totally trying to be like Marvel vs. Capcom and Dragon Ball FighterZ, but let’s be real, they’ll probably end up being more like Rise of the Kasai. 💀

And get this, they’re aiming for “tournament-quality”! As if anyone’s going to ditch Street Fighter or Tekken for this. 🤣 EVO? More like Ewww-vo, amirite? But hey, at least they partnered with the animated show team for a story mode. Because that’s what fighting games are all about: the deep, meaningful narratives! 😭 We can expect Omni-Man and Invincible to throw hands in various generic locations like a city, some snowy mountains, and even the freakin’ Moon! 🌑 Because nothing says “originality” like fighting on the moon. 🙄

Invincible VS is coming to Xbox Series X/S, Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2026. Mark your calendars, folks, because this is totally going to be the game that redefines the fighting game genre… or not. 🤷‍♂️ Who am I kidding? I’ll probably still buy it. 🤦‍♂️
