OMG, get ready to have your minds BLOWN 🤯! “Incredibles 3” is CONFIRMED! But wait, there’s a twist! Brad Bird, the mastermind behind the first two (amazing) movies, is only writing the script. Peter Sohn, the guy who brought us the cinematic masterpiece “Elemental” 🔥 (yeah, I said it), is directing. Prepare for a woke Incredibles, folks! 🤣
If you can even REMEMBER 🙄 back to last August (because, like, who even pays attention to Disney’s D23 event? 😴), they MIGHT have mentioned something about a third “Incredibles” movie. You know, the franchise that hasn’t been milked enough already. 🐄
Pete Docter (aka Mr. Pixar himself) casually dropped that Brad Bird, the dude who practically IS the “Incredibles,” was “developing” a third movie. “Developing,” as in, “we’re trying to squeeze every last drop of cash out of this IP.” 💰💰💰
But plot twist! Bird is too busy doing… stuff 🤷♂️ (probably regretting signing up for this in the first place) to actually direct. Enter Peter Sohn, the visionary behind “Elemental,” which, let’s be honest, was totally robbed of the Best Animated Feature Oscar 🏆 (said no one ever). Dana Murray, who produced ‘Soul’ 😇 (another overrated Pixar flick), is also on board. So, yeah, get ready for some serious “artistic” choices. 🎨
What’s the story of the “Incredibles” franchise, you ask? Oh, you know, the usual superhero schtick. Guy with super strength 💪, girl who stretches like silly putty, kids with powers that are totally not derivative of anything else ever. 🙄 They save the world, then they retire to the suburbs to be “normal.” Groundbreaking stuff, I tell ya! 🤯
In the first movie, Mr. Incredible gets bored with suburban life and goes on a secret mission. Turns out, it’s a trap! 😱 But don’t worry, his super family saves the day. Because family. 👨👩👧👦 Gag me with a spoon. 🥄
“Incredibles 2” was basically a rehash of the first, but with Elastigirl in the spotlight. 🔦 And there’s a villain called the Screenslaver who… enslaves people with screens? 📺 Deep. So deep. 🙄
Brad Bird also made “The Iron Giant” (which was actually good, ngl) and “Ratatouille” (a rat who cooks? 🐀 Chef’s kiss!), as well as “Tomorrowland” (flop) and “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” (actually decent). But now he’s working on “Ray Gunn,” a passion project that’s been in development hell for 30 years. Sounds promising! 👍
Peter Sohn, on the other hand, is a Pixar veteran who’s worked on… stuff. He voiced characters in “Ratatouille,” “Monsters University,” and “Lightyear” (another flop). As a director, he made “The Good Dinosaur” (forgettable) and “Elemental” (a cinematic triumph of mediocrity). 🔥
When will “Incredibles 3” hit theaters? Probably not until 2028 or 2029. Plenty of time to build up the hype and then disappoint everyone. 🤣
Next up for Pixar is “Elio,” an alien abduction adventure. Sounds… original? 👽 Yeah, I’m sure it will be a cultural reset. 🙄
