Schumer and his band of leftist marionettes are holding the entire government hostage again, folks, all to protect their precious, radical open-borders agenda. While President Trump is busy Making America Great Again, the Democrats are playing political games with our national security. The clock is ticking toward a government shutdown this Friday, and guess who’s to blame? The Democrats in the Senate, led by the ever-weak Chuck Schumer, are refusing to pass a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). They claim the bill is “woefully inadequate” to rein in ICE. Can you believe the nerve? They want to handcuff our brave border agents while crime runs rampant in our cities.
The trigger for this tantrum? A shooting involving a federal officer in Minneapolis—strange timing, isn’t it? Almost like the liberal media and their Democrat allies are using a tragic incident to push a narrative. They are exploiting a death to attack President Trump’s strong immigration enforcement.
Schumer is demanding 60 votes, but he’s telling his caucus to vote no unless they can gut ICE funding. If they succeed, massive parts of the government—including Defense and Health and Human Services—will shut down by Friday night. This is deliberate sabotage, plain and simple. Senator Angus King, who caucuses with the socialists, even admitted he can’t vote for it, citing a surge of federal officers in his state. What’s he afraid of? Law and order?
Even moderate Democrats like Catherine Cortez Masto and Tim Kaine are singing the same tune, demanding “accountability” for ICE. Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader John Thune is holding the line, refusing to split the DHS funding from the rest of the government. He knows what they’re trying to do.
We need 60 votes, and with RINO Rand Paul likely voting no, we need Democrats to put country over party. But don’t hold your breath. John Fetterman seems to be the only sane one left over there, calling out the “extreme positions” of the left, but even he might cave. Democrats like Chris Murphy are demanding “constraints on lawlessness”—code words for defunding the police and border patrol.
While the Democrats delay with a snowstorm and recess, our military and workers risk missing paychecks. This is the “Schumer Shutdown” 2.0, designed to hurt President Trump’s agenda. We must stand firm. Do not give in to the leftist mob! Call your Senator and demand they fund the DHS and protect our borders.
