SCORPIONS are proving that rock ‘n’ roll truly never dies—it just books extended stays in Las Vegas. Klaus Meine and Matthias Jabs recently spoke to KPTV FOX 12 about their upcoming residency, “Scorpions – Coming Home To Las Vegas”, which will run from September 17 to October 3, 2026, at PH Live in Planet Hollywood. The residency, promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, marks the band’s fourth sold-out run at the venue, following their previous triumphs: “Scorpions – Sin City Nights” in 2022, “Love At First Sting Las Vegas” in 2024, and “Scorpions – Coming Home To Las Vegas 60th Anniversary Las Vegas Residency” in 2025. Special guests BUCKCHERRY will join them once again, because apparently, what happens in Vegas should include a little extra rock.
When asked about celebrating 60-plus years in the business, Klaus responded with the kind of bewildered joy only a man who outlived his own career expectations could muster. “It’s fantastic. It’s a little bit unreal,” he said, adding that in the late ’60s and ’70s, the band figured they’d be done by 30. Spoiler alert: they weren’t. Turns out, rock ‘n’ roll is the ultimate pyramid scheme—except instead of recruiting people, you just keep releasing power ballads.
As for why songs like “Rock You Like A Hurricane” and “Wind Of Change” still resonate, Klaus credited the “power of songwriting.” He also noted that “Rock You Like A Hurricane” is now being discovered by Gen Z thanks to Netflix’s “Stranger Things”. Nothing says “timeless classic” like a synth-heavy ’80s anthem soundtracking a group of kids fighting interdimensional demons. Truly, the circle of rock is complete.
Matthias Jabs chimed in on the perks of a Vegas residency, namely not having to schlep gear across continents every other day. “It is fantastic to be in one place for a change,” he said, adding that the band will still be touring Asia before their Vegas stint. Because sure, why not fly halfway around the world before settling into a cushy theater gig? The band will play 10 shows, enjoy their downtime, and presumably hit the buffet between soundcheck and encore. Jabs also praised Vegas as the “capital of entertainment,” which is code for “we can finally see Cirque du Soleil without jet lag.”
The show dates are set: September 17, 19, 23, 25, 27, 29, and October 1, 3, all kicking off at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com/ScorpionsVegas, because nothing says “I love you” like a front-row seat to watch men in their 70s hit those high notes.
With over 110 million records sold, SCORPIONS will deliver the hits: “Wind Of Change”, “Still Loving You”, “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, “Send Me An Angel”, and more. Founded in Hannover, West Germany in 1965, the band helped define heavy metal in the ’70s with albums like “Lonesome Crow”, “Lovedrive”, and “Animal Magnetism”. The ’80s saw them dominate Billboard with “Love At First Sting” and “Blackout”, churning out classics like “No One Like You”. Their accolades include World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood RockWalk, and even a postage stamp in Brazil—because if you’re going to be immortalized, why not as a collectible for snail mail enthusiasts?
So, if you’re in Vegas this fall, skip the slots and head to Planet Hollywood. Watch SCORPIONS prove that age is just a number, and that the only thing more enduring than their music is their ability to sell out a theater for the fourth time. After all, when life gives you six decades, you make a residency. Rock on, you ageless legends. 🎸🔥
