Chaos at the Pump: Republicans Panic as Gas Prices Soar Under Trump’s Iran War

What a disaster! Gas prices are surging faster than a liberal’s outrage at a Trump rally, and Republicans are scrambling like never before. Speaker Mike Johnson and his GOP clowns are desperately trying to push their agenda, but now they’ve got a new problem: filling up their tanks without taking out a second mortgage.

Remember when Republicans screamed about $5 gas under Biden? Well, guess what? They’ve got the same problem now, except it’s all thanks to President Trump’s brilliant decision to wage war against Iran. Brilliant move, Donnie! Who needs affordable gas when you can have a nice, long war in the Middle East?

Republicans are now in full damage control mode, with their top leadership throwing out excuses faster than Hunter Biden can make a shady deal. “Temporary blip,” says Johnson. “Snapshot in time,” claims Rep. Lisa McClain. “Short-term volatility,” adds Rep. Nicole Malliotakis. Give me a break! These gas prices aren’t going anywhere, and neither are the American people’s frustrations.

But wait, it gets better! Some Republicans are actually trying to convince voters that paying 30 cents more at the pump is a small price to pay to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Really? Because last time I checked, Iran wasn’t exactly known for nuking its neighbors. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good war?

The GOP had big plans for their retreat at Trump’s golf resort in Doral, but now they’re stuck dealing with this mess. They’re running out of time and votes to execute their agenda, and even their top taxwriter, Rep. Jason Smith, says it’s time to drop the effort. Good luck with that!

And let’s not forget about Trump’s obsession with the so-called SAVE America Act, a measure that has virtually no chance of passing the Senate. Trump wants it to be the top priority, but even his own party is starting to question his sanity. Rep. Dan Newhouse, a retiring Republican, said Trump’s focus on the bill is playing right into Democrats’ hands. Ouch!

So there you have it, folks. The Republican Party is in shambles, and gas prices are through the roof. But hey, at least we’re not paying $5 a gallon under Biden, right? Oh wait…
