The legendary Canadian rock band RUSH has finally emerged from their cave, and they’re ready to rock… again π€. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, the dynamic duo, took the stage at the Juno Awards in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, with their new touring drummer, Anika Nilles π₯. They performed a surprise set, opening with “Finding My Way” from their debut album, because, why not? π€·ββοΈ It’s not like they have a gazillion other songs to choose from or anything π.
According to Geddy, they chose “Finding My Way” because, well, it’s the only song they know how to play π. Just kidding, folks! (Or are they? π€) Apparently, they asked their management to pick a song, and they said, “Hey, how about the first song from your first album?” And Geddy and Alex were all, “Sure, why not? We’re not getting any younger, after all” π. Loren Gold, their trusty keyboardist, joined them on stage, because, you know, RUSH needs a keyboardist to sound like RUSH πΉ.
The band’s first official shows under the RUSH banner in 11 years will kick off in June at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, because, you know, they have to start somewhere πΊοΈ.
