Oh boy, are you guys in for a treat! 🎉 The new SAW: Genesis game is coming, and I’m just soooo excited 🤩… said no one ever. 😂 But seriously, when Bloober Team first announced this game, I was like, “meh, another multiplayer horror game trying to be the next Dead by Daylight 🙄.” I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the SAW franchise 🎃, but can’t we just have a decent single-player game for once? 🤔
I’ve been a fan of the SAW series for years, and I’ve seen it all – the highs, the lows, and the occasional entry that should’ve stayed in the dark 🕷️. But hey, who doesn’t love a good game of “spot the trap” and “try not to die” in a creepy maze 🗺️? It’s like the ultimate horror theme park ride 🎠! So, when I heard about SAW: Genesis, I was like, “okay, let’s see what you’ve got” 🤔.
The problem is, I’ve seen this all before 🙄. Every publisher wants to create the next big multiplayer horror game, but few actually succeed 🏆. It’s like they’re all trying to catch lightning in a bottle ⚡️, but end up with a bunch of boring, unoriginal gameplay 🤦♂️. I mean, come on, can’t we just have something new and exciting for once? 🎊
But hey, the team at Bloober Team seems to understand what makes SAW tick 💡. They’re not just slapping a SAW logo on a generic multiplayer game 📦; they’re actually trying to create something that captures the essence of the franchise 🎥. The lead developer, Damian Kocurek, was like, “we love the movies, but we want to give players the fantasy of being in the trap themselves” 🤯. And I’m like, “okay, that sounds kind of cool, I guess” 🤔.
So, they showed us this presentation, and it was like a big ol’ maze 🗺️. Players have to sneak around, find tools and weapons, and try not to get caught by The Doctor 🏥, who’s like a proto-Jigsaw 🤡. And then there are these crazy traps 🤯, which are like, the ultimate test of survival 🏋️♀️. But, like, what’s the point of all this? 🤔 Is it just a bunch of mindless killing and trap-setting? 😒
And don’t even get me started on the long-term plan 📆. Modern multiplayer games are all about ongoing platforms 🚀, with seasonal content, post-launch roadmaps, battle passes, and years of support 🤯. But can SAW: Genesis really deliver on that? 🤔 I mean, it’s not like they have a big roster of horror icons to pull from like Dead by Daylight 🎃. It’s just SAW, and that’s a pretty narrow cast 🎬.
I didn’t leave the presentation convinced that SAW: Genesis is the next big thing 🤷♂️. But hey, at least the team seems to care about the franchise 💕, and they’re trying to do something different 🎨. So, I’ll give them that 🙌. But, like, don’t expect me to be all hyped up about it just yet 😐. I need to see more, and I need to go hands-on with the game 🎮. Maybe then I’ll be like, “oh, this is actually kinda cool” 😎. But until then, I’ll just be over here, waiting for something better to come along 🕰️.
