Oh boy, are you guys ready for some super exciting news? π€©π The legendary post-hardcore band LETLIVE. might, maybe, possibly, potentially release new music πΆπ€! We know, we know, it’s been a whole year since they reunited for their “farewell” tour π, and we’re all still reeling from the shock of them not actually saying goodbye π€·ββοΈ. But seriously, who needs new music when you can just keep touring and playing the same old songs over and over again πΈπ?
In a recent interview with Rock Sound‘s James Wilson-Taylor at the Download festival in the UK π¬π§, Jason Aalon Butler (the vocalist, for those who don’t know π ββοΈ) was asked about the possibility of new music from the band. And his response was, well, let’s just say it was a real thrill-ride π’π: “Yeah, we’ve certainly discussed it, because we’ve had such a good time, and we have understood how much we enjoy not only playing this music as this band, but with each other π€.” Wow, what a wild ride of emotions π π«!
But wait, there’s more! π€ Butler went on to say that the band has done an “internal audit” (whatever that means π€·ββοΈ) and realized that they actually love each other π, which is, you know, totally not a requirement for being in a band π. And if they can create something that will have a “proper impact” π, they might, just might, release new music πΆ. But only if the climate is right π‘οΈ, because, you know, the world is just missing that one special thing to make it complete ππ.
The current touring lineup of LETLIVE. consists of Jason Aalon Butler on vocals, Jeff Sahyoun and Jean Francisco Nascimento on guitar, Ryan Seaman on drums, and Skyler Acord on bass πΈπ₯. Because, you know, the most important thing about a band is the number of people on stage π€£.
Last year, LETLIVE. reformed for a global “farewell” tour titled “Sincerely Yours” π, which was, of course, a total joke π€£. The band’s last album, “If I’m The Devil” π€΄, was released in 2016, and they broke up in 2017 π«. But who needs a break when you can just keep on trucking π?
Prior to last year’s reformation, the band’s final lineup consisted of Butler, Sahyoun, Ryan Jay Johnson, and Loniel Robinson π ββοΈ. And if you’re wondering what LETLIVE. is all about, well, let me tell you π€: it’s about healing from anger π, progressive politics π³οΈ, and spotlighting issues that affect everyone π. Wow, what a unique and not-at-all-overused theme π.
So, there you have it π: LETLIVE. might release new music, but only if the stars align π and the world is ready π. In the meantime, let’s all just keep on waiting π°οΈ and hoping π€ that they’ll actually follow through on their promises π€. πΈπ
