Folks, I almost spilled my coffee reading this one. It seems like Kamala Harris is keeping everyone waiting on her decision about running for president again in 2028. She’s playing it cool, sticking to her Malibu home, and making occasional social media videos to boost Democrats and take shots at President Donald Trump. Bless their hearts, other potential candidates are just going to have to wait and see what she decides to do.
As I was reading through this article, I couldn’t help but think about how Harris is running her own version of a Rose Garden strategy. You know, where she just stays put and doesn’t give anyone a clear indication of what she’s planning to do. It’s like she’s saying, “Hey, I’m just over here, doing my thing, and you can just wait and see what I decide.” And honestly, it’s kind of amusing to watch.
Apparently, Harris has been making calls to supporters and planning some campaign stops for the fall, but she’s not giving anyone any hints about whether she’s going to run or not. Her allies think she has the right to take her time, but others are getting a little impatient. I mean, come on, Kamala, make up your mind already! But at the same time, I get it. She’s a former vice president, and she’s got the authority to do things on her own timeline.
Now, I know some of you might be thinking, “But Big Elephant, what about all the other potential candidates? Are they just going to wait around for Kamala to make up her mind?” And to that, I say, “Ha! Good luck with that.” I mean, some of these folks, like Gavin Newsom, are already taking steps towards a presidential campaign. And when Newsom said he wouldn’t run if Harris did, I just laughed. Like, what’s the point of waiting around for someone who might not even decide to run?
It’s funny, because some of the people close to other potential candidates are just rolling their eyes at the idea of waiting for Harris. Like, Rep. Ro Khanna, who’s all about his own vision for the future economy, and Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego, who’s thinking about what’s good for his kids. They’re not worried about what Kamala decides to do; they’re just focusing on their own thing.
And then there’s Donna Brazile, who’s all like, “Hey, no rush, let’s just wait and see what happens.” I mean, I guess that’s one way to look at it. But at the same time, it’s like, come on, folks, let’s get this show on the road already! We’ve got a presidential election to think about, and we can’t just wait around forever.
In conclusion, it’s clear that Kamala Harris is playing it cool and taking her time to decide on a potential 2028 presidential run. While other candidates are getting impatient, Harris is sticking to her own timeline and keeping everyone guessing. And honestly, it’s kind of entertaining to watch. As I always say, “You can’t make this stuff up.” But hey, at least it’s keeping things interesting in the world of politics. And who knows, maybe Kamala will surprise us all and announce her candidacy tomorrow. But until then, we’ll just have to keep waiting and wondering. ☕️
