Oh, great, ANOTHER update for Two Point Museum. Because what we REALLY needed was MORE content for a game we totally haven’t forgotten about. I mean, who DOESN’T love managing virtual museums? Seriously, if you enjoy this game, seek help. π
So, Two Point Museum, which is a “solid release” according to someone who clearly has very low standards, is getting an update. It’s called Update 5.0, because apparently they’ve been updating this thing five times. Who knew? It introduces the “Digiverse,” which sounds like something a toddler made up. Two rifts? Unique challenges? More like unique ways to waste your precious time on this earth. π
One rift connects this… game… to Dredge, the fishing sim. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Now curators can “uncover new exhibits” and “collect deep-sea specimens.” Sounds thrilling. They even tease “supernatural hazards.” Oh no! Spooky virtual fish! π Will I ever sleep again? They said “Daytime fishing is fine. Nighttime is β¦ unwise.β Oh my god! That’s so scary! Who wrote this? Shakespeare? π€£
The OTHER rift takes you to Meat Wizard. Yes, you read that right. Itβs a “beloved fictional video game within the Two Point universe.” So, it’s a game within a game that nobody asked for. Digital archaeologists can “unearth quirky relics of gaming history.” Relics of gaming history? Is that like a virtual Atari joystick? I’m shaking with anticipation. They can also “craft power-ups and design exhibits that blend retro charm with playful chaos.” Playful chaos? More like chaotic boredom. π΄
And of course, they had to include a YouTube trailer. Because why not? Let’s waste more bandwidth on this digital masterpiece. It introduces support for Latin American Spanish, Thai, and Russian. Because that’s what really matters. Language support. Not, you know, fun gameplay. Making the game “accessible to a wider audience.” More like “accessible to a wider range of people who will regret their purchase.” πΈ
SEGA is launching a special Steam bundle that unites Two Point Museum and Dredge. Because who wouldn’t want to buy TWO mediocre games at once? A “growing trend of crossovers.” Is it though? A trend of companies desperately trying to squeeze money out of their existing IPs. I’m so excited! π₯³
Oh, and CGMagazine “praised” Two Point Museum. They gave it an 8/10. An 8/10? Did they even play the game? The reviewer wrote: “Whether you are a fan of their previous games or you just want a light tycoon-style sim, itβs hard to go wrong with Two Point Museum.β It’s hard to go wrong? Challenge accepted! I bet I can find a million ways to go wrong with this game! π
The Digiverse update will be available starting tomorrow across Steam, PlayStation and Xbox. Brace yourselves! Additional rifts will be added over time, giving players more reasons to return to their museums and uncover what lies beneath the surface.” More reasons to regret their life choices, you mean? Seriously, go outside. Touch grass. Read a book. Anything is better than playing this game. ππ³π
