You Won't Believe Who Vance Thinks Will Run in 2028

I’m sipping my coffee and reading this article about Vice President JD Vance predicting that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be the leading Democratic candidate for president in 2028, and I’ve got to say, it’s an interesting read. Vance made this statement during an interview on “The Michael Knowles Show,” and I’m wondering what makes him think AOC has got this in the bag. Apparently, he believes California Gov. Gavin Newsom hurt his chances with a comment he made at an event in Atlanta, where he said he’s a “960 SAT guy” and can’t read a speech. Bless their hearts, it seems like Newsom might have put his foot in his mouth.

I think it’s amusing that Vance is so sure about AOC’s chances, especially considering he’s a possible leading GOP candidate for president himself. Donald Trump has been talking about Vance as a potential successor, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Meanwhile, Trump has been focusing on the Democrats’ left flank, claiming the party is being taken over by “godless Communists” who pose an existential threat to the nation. Somewhere in Atlanta, a producer thought this sounded terrifying, I’m sure.

When asked about Vance’s comments, Ocasio-Cortez just smiled and said, “I hope he is” the nominee. I’m not sure what to make of that response, but it’s definitely confident. Vance also mentioned that he thinks the power in the Democratic Party will determine the leading candidate, and if it’s the universities, then AOC has got it. He argued that the Democrats are “just so dominated by the crazy people,” which is an… interesting assessment.

Vance also thinks that Republicans should be worried about the economic populism of the Democrats, which he believes is very popular. You can’t make this stuff up, folks. It’s like they’re trying to out-do each other in a game of political chess. I’m not sure what the future holds, but it’s definitely going to be an interesting ride.

In conclusion, it seems like JD Vance is putting his money on AOC as the leading Democratic candidate for 2028, and he’s making some interesting points about the power dynamics within the party. Whether or not he’s right remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure – this is going to be a wild election season. And I’ll be here, sipping my coffee and watching it all go down with a mixture of amusement and bewilderment.
