Oh wait, they have. The band, consisting of Roger Earl (founding drummer), Bryan Bassett (lead/slide guitar), Scott Holt (lead vocals/guitar), and Rodney O’Quinn (bass/vocals), has been rocking out since 1971, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, they’re still making chart-topping music and touring relentlessly, because that’s what the people demand, apparently.
As they look ahead to 2027, Foghat is bringing their live show from the stage to speakers with their new triple vinyl release, “Live & Loud Across The U.S.A.”, which is due out October 30 on the band’s label, Foghat Records, distributed by Select-O-Hits (part of the Sun Records family). Because who doesn’t need a triple vinyl release of a live album? I mean, it’s not like we’re running out of storage space for our vinyl collections or anything.
The “Slow Ride 50th Anniversary Tour” and Beyond
Foghat has been on tour for what feels like an eternity, with their “Slow Ride 50th Anniversary Tour” and “Twang & Bang Tour” taking them across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe. They even made a grand return to the U.K. after 52 years, because why not? The band’s live shows are still going strong, with their unmistakable blend of blues, boogie, and straight-ahead rock that has become their trademark. I’m sure the crowds are just thrilled to hear “Fool For The City”, “Slow Ride”, and “I Just Wanna Make Love To You” for the umpteenth time.

The “Shaken & Stirred” record is being reissued on vinyl as part of the “Live & Loud Across The U.S.A.” package, because why not? It’s not like we’re running out of vinyl or anything. The record features songs like “Guess Things Happen That Wat”, “Where’s The Rock N’ Roll”, and “Linda Lu”, which are sure to become classics.
