OMG! 🙄 Guillermo del Toro, that dude who’s obsessed with monsters and creepy stuff, is FINALLY making his Frankenstein movie! 🧟 Like, he’s been talking about this forever! It’s his “dream project,” which probably means it’s going to be super weird and maybe a little too artsy-fartsy for the rest of us. 🤣 But hey, at least it’s a horror movie, right? 🔪 More like a snore-ror movie, am I right? 😴

So, del Toro’s Frankenstein is hitting theaters and Netflix this fall. Get ready for ALL the think pieces comparing Dr. Victor Frankenstein (played by Oscar Isaac, who’s probably going to be all brooding and intense) to del Toro himself. 🙄 You know, because they’re both “obsessed” with bringing their creations to life. 🙄🙄🙄 Groundbreaking stuff, guys! 🙄

And the cast? Oh honey, it’s a who’s who of people who are probably way too good for this movie. We got Jacob Elordi as Frankenstein’s Monster. I guess they needed someone tall and brooding to play a reanimated corpse? 🤷‍♀️ Mia Goth is playing Isaac’s love interest. Because every mad scientist needs a manic pixie dream girl, am I right? 😜 Charles Dance is playing Victor Frankenstein’s Dad. Let’s just call him Artie Frankenstein because that’s hilarious. 😂 And Christoph Waltz is playing Goth’s uncle and Victor’s benefactor. Because if you need someone to play a creepy, vaguely European villain, you call Christoph Waltz. 🤷‍♀️

Here’s the trailer. Watch at your own risk. You might actually have nightmares. 😱 Or, you might just roll your eyes so hard you pull a muscle. 🙄

Netflix also dropped what they’re calling “Creature Reveal Art.” 🙄🙄🙄 It’s a poster, people! Just a poster! But I guess “Creature Reveal Art” sounds fancier and more pretentious. 💅

Here’s the official synopsis: “Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.” 📖 Blah, blah, blah. We all know the story. It’s Frankenstein! 🧟‍♂️

Frankenstein opens in theaters on October 17, and then it’s hitting Netflix on November 7. So, mark your calendars if you’re into this sort of thing. 🗓️ Or, you know, just watch something else. 📺 There’s, like, a million other things to watch on Netflix. 🤷‍♀️ Like, have you seen the latest season of “Love is Blind”? 🤪 Now that’s some real horror! 💔
