Well, well, well, look who decided to grace Thailand with their unholy presence! BEHEMOTH, the Polish black/death metal titans who’ve made a career out of offending religious folks, recently rocked Bangkok’s Mr.FOX Live House on February 15, 2026, as part of their “Chant Of The Eastern Lands” tour. And guess what? Someone actually filmed it professionally, so now we can all witness the glorious chaos from the comfort of our screens. Because nothing says “I respect local customs” quite like blasting “O Father O Satan O Sun!” in the heart of Southeast Asia. 🌏🔥
The setlist was a veritable greatest hits of blasphemy, featuring crowd-pleasers like “The Shit Ov God” (because subtlety is overrated), “Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel” (ironic, given Gabriel probably wasn’t thrilled), and the ever-popular “Ov Fire And The Void.” They even threw in a BATHORY cover for good measure, because why not remind everyone that metal has roots? The full tracklist reads like a Satanic liturgy, and honestly, we’re here for it. 😈
But hold onto your inverted crosses, folks, because not everything went smoothly for BEHEMOTH on this tour. Just last month, they had to cancel their March 3 show in Bangalore, India, thanks to “credible threats from religious Christian groups.” Oh no, not the Christians again! Poor BEHEMOTH, always getting bullied by the religious majority. 🙄 The band cited concerns over safety, legal consequences, and security, which is fair—after all, nobody wants to end up in an Indian prison for the crime of being too metal. This marked the third cancellation on the tour, following similar issues in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey. Seriously, can’t these religious groups just lighten up and enjoy some good old-fashioned Satanic anthems?
Of course, this isn’t BEHEMOTH‘s first rodeo with religious controversy. Frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski has been offending people since, well, forever. In 2021, he was convicted in Poland for posting an image of a foot stomping on the Virgin Mary. The nerve! He was fined the equivalent of $4,000, which is probably less than he spends on corpse paint in a month. This wasn’t even his first legal battle—back in 2018, he faced charges for merchandise that allegedly insulted Poland’s national coat of arms. And let’s not forget 2007, when he tore up a Bible on stage and called the Catholic Church “the most murderous cult on the planet.” Classic Nergal, always keeping it classy. 😏
So, while BEHEMOTH continues to spread their unholy gospel across the globe, we can only hope that future tour dates don’t get derailed by overly sensitive religious groups. After all, metal is all about pushing boundaries, offending sensibilities, and giving the finger to authority. And if you can’t handle that, maybe stick to listening to Nickelback instead. 🤘
Check out the professionally filmed Bangkok concert below, and let us know in the comments if you think BEHEMOTH should tone it down or crank it up to eleven. Spoiler alert: We vote for eleven.
