Liberal Incompetence Strikes Again: TSA Blames Airport Shutdowns on Democrat-Triggered Shutdown
Well, folks, here we go again! Thanks to the Democrats’ stubborn refusal to fund the Department of Homeland Security, we’re now facing the real possibility of airport closures across America. TSA’s acting deputy administrator Adam Stahl had the nerve to suggest we might have to “quite literally shut down airports” because of their manufactured crisis. How convenient!
Passengers are already experiencing “hourslong airport security lines” – a direct result of liberal obstructionism. TSA workers aren’t showing up because they aren’t getting paid, but let’s be clear: this is a Democrat-caused problem. While union leaders claim TSA workers are quitting, the real issue is the Democrat-led shutdown that’s affecting our national security and travel infrastructure.
The Gateway Pundit reports that more than a third of TSA staff at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International didn’t show up Wednesday, and over half of Houston’s Hobby Airport workers skipped work last Friday. But don’t worry, liberals will find a way to blame Trump for this too!
Former TSA administrator John Pistole admitted they’re now prioritizing which airports to keep open based on passenger loads – essentially playing airport roulette with your travel plans. Meanwhile, TSA’s National Deployment Force is “fully depleted,” according to Stahl. Shocking, isn’t it? When you don’t pay people, they stop working!
The most frustrating part? TSA claims they’ll “exhaust every other possible option” before closing airports, but why should American travelers suffer because Democrats can’t fund basic government operations? Where’s the outrage from the liberal media about this Democratic obstruction?
Philadelphia International Airport has already closed three of seven checkpoints to “optimize operations.” Let’s call it what it is – a liberal-caused travel nightmare that’s making America less safe and less efficient.
As former federal security director Keith Jeffries correctly noted, this “is going to get worse before it gets better, if we don’t see any sort of action.” But don’t hold your breath waiting for Democrats to act responsibly. They’re too busy pushing their radical open borders agenda to care about actual Americans trying to travel for work or family emergencies.
The bottom line: when Democrats play political games with government funding, hardworking Americans pay the price. Another day, another liberal failure that Trump will have to clean up!
