Oh great another Obama era holder joins the witch hunt

Oh great another Obama era holder joins the witch hunt

I’m sipping my coffee and reading about John Yoo, a conservative lawyer who’s about to join a Justice Department investigation, and I have to say, it’s going to be an interesting ride. Yoo, a law professor at the University of California, Berkeley, is known for authoring the “torture memos” during the Bush administration, and now he’s going to advise Joe DiGenova and Victoria Toensing, two conservative attorneys who are acting as prosecutors in the Southern District of Florida. They’re looking into possible cases against Trump foes, and Yoo will be acting as an intermittent consultant on constitutional issues.

Folks, this investigation is getting more complicated by the day. The addition of Yoo to the team is likely to raise some eyebrows, especially since DiGenova’s work is being described as a grand conspiracy theory that stretches from the Russian election interference investigation in 2016 to the FBI search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in 2022. I mean, you can’t make this stuff up, right?

Yoo has a reputation for being a specialist in national security and presidential power, and he’s a proponent of expanding authority for the executive branch. He’s also a longtime friend of DiGenova and Toensing, having known them for over three decades. In a statement to CNN, Yoo said, “I have known Joe DiGenova and Vicky Toensing for more than three decades, so if they and the United States need my assistance, I’m happy to provide it anytime, anywhere, for anything.” Bless their hearts, they’re certainly an interesting trio.

The investigation is going to look into possible cases against former high-ranking federal officials, including former CIA Director John Brennan, who has been under investigation but hasn’t been charged with any crime. It’s likely that this probe will flip the questions that plagued Trump around, and now the government officials who contributed to the prior investigations into him will be under scrutiny.

This whole thing is starting to sound like a real-life game of “Survivor,” with everyone trying to outmaneuver each other. Somewhere in Atlanta, a producer thought this sounded terrifying, and now we’ve got a full-blown investigation on our hands. I’m not sure what’s going to come out of this, but I’m sure it’ll be entertaining to watch.

In conclusion, the investigation is heating up, and with Yoo on board, it’s going to be a wild ride. The addition of Yoo to the team is likely to raise more questions than answers, and I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot more about this in the coming weeks. And as I finish my coffee, I have to say, this whole thing is just getting started, and I’m excited to see where it goes – maybe I’ll even need to refill my cup.
