Oh boy, are you ready for some mind-blowing news? 🤯 I just found out that Tommy Lee, the drummer for MÖTLEY CRÜE, is actually a skinny fuck because he runs 13.3 miles during a two-hour show! 🏃♂️ I mean, who wouldn’t be skinny after all that exercise? I’m pretty sure I’d be dead after running that much, but hey, that’s just me. Anyway, Lee recently appeared on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast and talked about the physical demands of playing drums for a heavy rock band like MÖTLEY CRÜE. He said it’s like a sport, and I’m like, “No shit, Sherlock!” 🙄
The Physical Demands of Drumming
So, Lee was curious about how many miles he runs during a show, so he got one of those pedometer things and clipped it to his shoe. And, surprise surprise, he ran 13.3 miles during a two-hour show. I mean, that’s a lot of running, but I guess it’s not that surprising considering all the sweat and ringing in his ears after a show. Lee said that playing the drums is “more like a sport” and that he’s the “fucking heartbeat” of the band. Okay, dude, we get it, you’re a beast behind the drums. 🥁
But seriously, it’s not just about the physical demands of drumming. Lee also talked about the responsibility that comes with being a drummer. He said that he’s responsible for setting the pace and making people physically move, which takes a lot of work. And, let’s be real, it’s not just about the music, it’s about the showmanship, the energy, the whole package. So, yeah, I can see why Lee would say that playing the drums is like a sport. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it. 🏋️♂️
MÖTLEY CRÜE’s Upcoming Tour
In other news, MÖTLEY CRÜE is going on tour again, because why not? 🤷♂️ They’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of their “Carnival Of Sins” tour and the 45th anniversary of the band. The 33-city tour will feature support acts EXTREME and TESLA, because who doesn’t love a good ol’ fashioned rock show? 🤘 The tour will kick off on July 17, 2026, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and will make its way across the country, because MÖTLEY CRÜE is still a thing, apparently. 🎉
And, because they’re feeling generous, MÖTLEY CRÜE will be donating $1 from every ticket sold to ASAP! (After School Arts Program) through the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative. Because, you know, rock stars have to give back to the community, right? 🙄 I mean, it’s not like they’re just doing it for the publicity or anything. 😏
So, there you have it, folks. MÖTLEY CRÜE is still rocking and rolling, and Tommy Lee is still running 13.3 miles during a two-hour show. Because, why not? 🤷♂️ It’s not like they’re getting any younger or anything. 😂 Ah, the life of a rock star, am I right? 🤘
