His lawyer, Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, claims that he missed an immigration court hearing because the notice was sent to a former address. Bless their hearts, it sounds like there might be some blame to go around here.
The court documents state that Garces-Perez had a pleasant conversation with one of the federal officers before things took a turn for the worse. He allegedly provided his driver’s license and was chatting with the officer about moving his car, but then suddenly closed the window and drove off.
