Alan Ritchson tries not to trip on his own ego in the new poster for Motor City

Motor City

Oh boy, are you guys ready for the most epic, action-packed, and totally-not-at-all-cliché film of the year? 🎥🔥 Because I’ve got the scoop on the new movie “Motor City” and it’s going to be a wild ride 🎢! The film is directed by the super talented (and humble) Potsy Ponciroli, written by the ingenious Chad St. John, and stars the incredible Alan Ritchson, Ben Foster, Pablo Schreiber, Lionel Boyce, and Shailene Woodley 🤩. I mean, with a cast like that, it’s gotta be good, right? 🤔

So, the movie is set in the 1970s in Detroit (because, you know, that’s not a cliché setting at all 🙄), and it’s about a working-class romantic (yawn) who gets framed by a ruthless gangster (oh no, how original 🙄) after falling for his girlfriend (because, of course, that’s exactly how these things go down 🙃). But wait, it gets better! After years in prison, our hero returns with only one mission: revenge 🤬! Because, you know, that’s not a tired plot device at all 😴. I mean, who hasn’t seen that exact same story played out in a million different movies 🤷‍♂️?

And don’t even get me started on the trailer 📹. I mean, it’s got all the usual suspects: explosions 💥, car chases 🏎️, and plenty of brooding 🤔. It’s like they took every action movie cliche and mashed them all together into one big, glorious mess 🤪. But hey, who needs originality when you can just rehash the same old tropes and call it a day, right? 😂

The film had its world premiere in the Venice Spotlight section of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 30, 2025, and will be released in the US on 24th July 2026 🎉. So, mark your calendars, folks, because this is going to be a movie event you won’t want to miss 🎊. Or, you know, you could just wait for it to come out on streaming and watch it in your pajamas 🛋️, because let’s be real, that’s what most of us are going to do anyway 😂.

And just in case you’re still not convinced, here’s a poster for the movie 📸. I mean, it’s got all the usual stuff: a gritty, rugged hero 🤠, a beautiful damsel in distress 🚺, and plenty of explosions and mayhem 🌪️. It’s like they took every action movie poster cliche and mashed them all together into one big, glorious mess 🤪. But hey, who needs subtle marketing when you can just hit people over the head with explosions and testosterone, right? 🤷‍♂️

So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and get excited for “Motor City” 🎉! It’s going to be a wild ride 🎢, full of action, suspense, and plenty of clichés 🤪. And who knows, maybe it’ll even surprise us and turn out to be a good movie 🤔. But let’s not get our hopes up or anything 😂. 🎥👍
