Oh boy, are you guys ready for some earth-shattering news? 🤯 I mean, I can barely contain my excitement… Legendary American punk band BLACK FLAG is going on tour again! 🎉 Because, you know, the world was just missing that one thing to make it complete. I’m pretty sure I heard the collective sigh of relief from punk fans everywhere, “Finally, BLACK FLAG is touring again, now I can die happy.” 💀

So, what’s the big deal? Well, the tour kicks off on September 3, 2026, at the Belly Up in Aspen, Colorado, and concludes on November 1, 2026, at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas. Because, you know, BLACK FLAG needs to play in at least 45 cities across the US to make sure everyone gets a chance to experience their unique brand of punk rock. I mean, it’s not like they’re trying to relive their glory days or anything… 🙄

The current lineup features founding guitarist Greg Ginn, along with Max Zanelly on lead vocals, David Rodriguez on bass, and Bryce Weston on drums. Because, you know, the original lineup was just too boring, and they needed some fresh blood to spice things up. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the original members are all, like, old and stuff… 🙃

The Tour of a Lifetime (or at least until the next one)

With this tour, BLACK FLAG promises to deliver a setlist that draws from their influential catalog, because, you know, they have a lot of great songs to choose from. I mean, who needs new material when you can just play the same old songs over and over again? 🎸 It’s not like their fans are tired of hearing “Rise Above” for the millionth time or anything… 🙄

But seriously, folks, this tour is a great opportunity for both old and new fans to experience BLACK FLAG live in intimate club and theater settings. Because, you know, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of being squished in a crowded room with a bunch of sweaty punk rock fans… 🤯 It’s like a rite of passage or something… 🤪

A Brief History of BLACK FLAG (because you need to know)

For those who don’t know (or care), BLACK FLAG formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California, and made music from 1978 until the mid-1980s with several singers, including Keith Morris, Ron Reyes, Dez Cadena, and Henry Rollins. They’re often credited as the first American hardcore band, because, you know, they were hardcore and stuff… 🤘

In 2013, Greg Ginn sued his former bandmates for touring as FLAG, because, you know, trademarks and logos are super important… 🤑 It’s not like they were just trying to make a quick buck or anything… 🙄 But hey, at least they settled out of court, and now we can all enjoy BLACK FLAG and FLAG (not that anyone really cares about the difference)… 🤷‍♂️

So, are you ready to experience the thrill of BLACK FLAG live? 🎟️ Because, you know, it’s not like you have anything better to do with your time… 🤣 Tickets are available through individual venues and BLACK FLAG’s official channels, because, you know, they want to make sure you can easily throw your money at them… 💸

All tour dates are subject to change, because, you know, things don’t always go as planned… 🤦‍♂️ But hey, at least they’re trying, right? 🤷‍♂️ And who knows, maybe they’ll even play some new songs… 🎶 (Just kidding, they’ll probably just play the same old stuff… 🙄)

In conclusion, BLACK FLAG is going on tour, and you should totally go see them if you’re into that sort of thing… 🤘 I mean, it’s not like you’ll be disappointed or anything… 😒 But hey, at least you’ll have a good story to tell, right? 📚 “I saw BLACK FLAG live, and it was… actually pretty cool, I guess…” 🤷‍♂️ 🎸
